Finally the long wait is over and Kawasaki Ninja 250R has arrived in India, with its launch by Bajaj Auto in India.
To meet the strict pollution norms of India, Bajaj Auto has decided to import the European model of Ninja 250R, which is the fuel injected variant, producing 29.5bhp @ 10500rpm and 21nm of torque @ 8500rpm.
Baby Ninja has been priced at Rs. 2,69,970 (Ex. Showroom Delhi) and Rs2,69,580 (Ex. Showroom Chennai).
Initially the Ninja 250R would be available in two colors, Green and Black and Bajaj Auto is expecting to sell 1000 units of Ninja 250R in the first year, of which 50 have already been dispatched to Probiking showrooms across India.
While the Ninja 250R would be sold at the special Probiking showrooms across India and Bajaj Auto will provide after sales service and support for it, spare parts for the motorcycle would be imported directly from Japan and Thailand.
While we are sure that with the launch of Ninja 250r in India, the biking scene here would only get better and more serious; we sincerely hope, that manufacturers start manufacturing high capacity motorcycles locally, so that the price can be brought down a little and is within reach for majority of motorcycling enthusiasts in India.
